Online launch of the Bright Beet Book on 25 November 2021
Cosun Beet Company will launch its Bright Beet Book on 25 November. The book is a compilation of more than 130 eye-opening applications that are based on sugar beet. Sugar beet has enormous potential. A lot of what we see around us today is already made using sugar beet components, or can be.
Sugar beet is a versatile source of components for food and non-food applications: from cakes to marinades, from textiles to cosmetics, from antifreeze in vaccines to replacements for microplastics. Thanks to its great versatility, sugar beet is an integral component and an innovative solution for a sustainable future.
If you are interested in what these applications mean for our shared future, take part in the digital launch of the Bright Beet Book. Be inspired by Werner Schouten (former chair of the Young Climate Movement), Willemijn Witteveen (Director Business Development, Avantium), dr. John Chapman (Senior Scientist Microbiology, Unilever) and Ricky van Beers (Business Development Manager, Cosun Beet Company). Dutch chef Estée Strooker will be live in the studio cooking dishes based on sugar beet. The whole event will be moderated by Esther van Rijswijk and co-hosted by Paul Mesters (CEO), with an opportunity for questions via a chat app.
