Betafib® is a 100% natural thickener derived from sugar beet pulp, a side stream from the sucrose producten. Betafib® has excellent particle and gas carrying properties in water-based products, and high viscosity. Betafib® can be used in food products where pouring and dosing are just as important as homogeneity and stability, such as salad dressings, soups, sauces and beverages. Betafib® can also stabilise emulsions of oil and water and so improve the mouthfeel and texture of the finished products. Typical non-food applications include liquid detergents, personal care products, paints and building materials.
Carboxyline® is a scale inhibitor used in cleaning products. It has a unique combination of anti-scaling and dispersing properties. These are also important properties to produce drinking water by means of reverse osmosis from salt and brackish water sources. In the Netherlands, this product is used at reverse osmosis plants operated by drinking water suppliers and by industrial customers that produce their own process water. Carboxyline® is proof that sustainability can go hand in hand with cost efficiency.
The physical mechanism behind fabric softeners and hair conditioners is the neutralisation of negative surface charges. Quatin® is exceptionally good at this and combines its neutralising properties with an excellent sustainability profile in an easy to use product. With these benefits, Quatin® can be used in detergents for hard surfaces, personal care products and can also be applied in the farming industry.
Moisture regulation plays an important role in the production and use of powders and tablets. It determines their flow properties, tabletting properties and are responsible for a tablet’s stability and timely disintegration. BetaBind® is a multifunctional product that has many of these properties. It is derived from sugar beet pulp, is 100% natural and fully biodegradable.
