To meet the growing demand for organic products, Cosun Beet Company is producing organic beet sugar for consumers and the food industry.

Consumers are buying more and more sustainable products and the market for organics is booming: up 50% year on year. Europe is good for 31% of all organic sales in the world. To help the food industry meet this demand, Cosun Beet Company is going to supply it with organic beet sugar.

To date, the industry has often opted for organic cane sugar. It is grown in South America and Asia and then has to be imported into Europe. Cosun Beet Company’s organic beet sugar is the perfect, sustainable alternative. By growing and processing sugar beet locally, we can significantly reduce the ecological footprint and guarantee full transparency in every step of the supply chain. What’s more, the supply security of beet sugar could not be better. This is a great advantage for the food industry in view of the current geopolitical situation.

We will be presenting our newest innovation at FiE. We’re not saying exactly what it is just yet, but we can tell you that it is a major step on our journey to upcycling and plant-based food. The new food ingredient will also inspire food producers in the booming market for plant-based food ingredients. Our innovation will make it easier for them to meet the explosive demand.
