Allulose

Exceptionally low in calories and almost just as sweet as sugar, Allulose is a naturally occurring sugar with the same functional properties as regular sugar. Allulose is naturally present in small amounts in certain types of fruit, such as raisins and figs, but it can also be made from molasses. This is generated in large volumes as a co-product during sugar production.

The greatest advantages of Allulose:

  • 0.4 kcal/g, i.e. 10 times lower than regular sugar
  • Comparable functional properties and characteristics to regular sugar, such as browning, mouthfeel and texture
  • Bulk sweetener with 70% sweetness compared to regular sugar
  • No ‘added sugar’ according to the FDA (Food and Drug Administration, U.S.)
  • Novel food ingredient (awaiting EU approval)

Allulose fits in a kosher, halal and vegan diet. We offer Allulose in both crystal powder and liquid form.

Perfect for sugar reduction
Sugar and calorie restriction is very relevant currently for many manufacturers in the food industry. But where do you find good alternatives to sugar, without this having negative effects in other areas? Allulose is the answer. It is the ideal bulk sweetener without any negative properties. It behaves just like sugar, is slightly less sweet (70% sweetness compared to regular sugar ) and contains virtually no kilocalories – perfect for sugar and calorie reduction programs.

This makes it highly suitable for the following:

  • Dairy products
  • Bakery products
  • Confectionery
  • Sauces
